Welcome to the Rutland Card Web site, the site where residents of Uppingham and surrounding villages can benefit from real savings when shopping locally.
This is a pilot scheme spearheaded by Marc Oxley, County Councillor for Uppingham. If successful it will hopefully be rolled out across the rest of the County.
Everyone in Uppingham, Ayston, Ridlington, Wardley, Belton, Caldecott, Lyddington, Thorpe, Seaton, Stoke Dry, Gunthorpe, Preston, Wing, Manton, Pilton and Lyndon has been sent a card which gives them the opportunity of receiving discounts and special offers on a wide range of goods and services in local shops and businesses. Have a look at the Lists to find out more.
Visitors to the area who stay in a participating Hotel will be able to take advantage of the scheme as they will be given a voucher that can be used in conjunction with the initiative. You could save the cost of your room on one purchase!

We have put together a collection of images of Uppingham as it was 100 years ago. The images show that the street scene has changed very little since then, unlike most other Market Towns where there is little to distinguish one from the other. It is a quintessential English Market Town.
Any Business within a 5 mile radius of Uppingham can join the scheme. Visit the Contact page for more details.
Use your card, save money and help local shops and businesses maintain their place in the heart of the community.
The Rutland Card Organisers will not be liable for any disputes arising from the use of the card. Any claim should be addressed to the business offering the discount. The scheme has no links of any kind to Uppingham Business First or Uppingham 2025.
